We all know that the kitchen is the heart and soul of any home.
It is supposed to be beautiful, cozy, warm, and magical.
Before you redesign your whole kitchen really analyze what your kitchen is missing, what you would like to add, what color palette would be best. And what elements are missing that you can add.
TIP ONE: MAKE THE KITCHEN YOUR SPACE
Easier said than done! But, it really makes a difference for your overall enjoyment being in your kitchen. This is your special space enjoy it ladies!
If you have pets but in a pet bed, if kids are around put stuff for them to do, put in a drink station...just anything to make it FUN for you!
I know I say this a lot but paint should be your best friend. It’s inexpensive and can really liven up a kitchen. I kept my kitchen very neutral is white, marble and greys.
TIP TWO: THE ISLAND
Design an island that works for you and your family. When we renovated with tore out our multi level island and switched to a single level.
Honestly, I was scared because now I couldn’t hide my mess away. But I love it! It does help create more relaxed conversation area in our kitchen.
When designing my kitchen I choose a large full slab of quartz for our large family. I LOVE the new trend of carrying the marble or granite down the sides of the island
It’s so practical since I’m always wiping the sides of the island anyway!
For those with little kids you may want to consider investing in an induction stovetop. We had to add one because my littles love sitting beside me when I cook and I didn’t want any hands to get burned! OUCH
😭 Also you may want to source out deeper than average drawers! It really helps to make cooking and storage all the easier especially when they are placed in high traffic cooking areas like next to your range.
I also made sure the island had plenty of plugs, storage and lots of room for bar stools. We are able to get 8 bar stools around it.

TIP THREE: ADD COLOR TO YOUR KITCHEN
I loved the look of a white kitchen at first! And it may seem a sophisticated choice, but now there are so many other options.
I am seeing a lot of colored cabinetry coming out that I love.
A white kitchen is a lot of work! I still love the look but with six kids cleaning it has turned into a pretty tiresome process. LOL
Get rid of the white tedium! Splash some bright paint on the walls or choose pretty cabinetry so it can contrast with metals in your kitchen. On the other hand, matte black kitchen is an awesome move if you like to amaze and be on top. Just believe it, this style won’t leave anyone indifferent. You can put some spirit into your kitchen decor with striking patterned flooring and rugs that’ll add a dynamic visual punch as opposed to the basic wooden or tiled floor.
But if you still doubt which color(s) to choose, remember that a combination of black and gold is always a win-win choice. Timeless in appeal and sure to add easy elegance to any kitchen, black cabinetry and appliances finished with either gold or copper accents will make for a grand gesture in any kitchen.
Exotic Spanish or Moroccan notes can make your kitchen look unforgettable. As well as a bold mixture of old and new, hot and cold, modern and ancient, bright and solid-colored. Fitting a square peg into a round hole is one of the trends and tendencies of 2019. However, let’s not forget about classics. Marble in your kitchen is like a little black dress on a woman: it will always help look luxurious.
Be brave: combine bright colored shelves with ornamental flooring, different colors and textures, high technologies and vintage notes. As technological advances continue to enhance our everyday life, it comes as no surprise that the movement finally made its way into our kitchens. From remote light controls to smart screen display fridges and Wi-Fi enabled coffee machines, there are plenty of genius updates to take advantage of for the best in kitchen design ideas. Enjoy your cappuccino made by your smart coffee machine while relaxing in a rattan chair. No one can deny that vintage items add up to coziness. It brings more warmth and romanticism. TIP FIVE: KEEP THE FRIDGE FULL OF FUN FOOD AND CLEAN
I cannot count the number of times I have gone to the fridge excited to eat only to be left hungry and uninspired. Yummy food displayed easily will make all the difference.
I try to clean my fridge a few times a week so it looks yummy!

The soul of any house is definitely a kitchen. What about its heart, you’ll ask. It should be somewhere near its soul, right? A fridge. It can become either our best friend or an enemy, or even our partner in crime. Modern trends advise to focus on buying tall column fridges.
