Decoration for January
It’s time to put last year BEHIND us and welcome in JANUARY :)
January is a tricky month to decorate for. Your budget is tight, but putting away your Christmas decorations can leave your home feeling bare and boring.
Since January is all about starting the new year off with a bang, your home should be the first place you start. Until now your winter decorations have all been for Thanksgiving, Halloween, or Christmas, and your home hasn’t really had a chance to showcase the beauty of winter. So, before spring arrives, here are three ways to give your home that perfect cozy winter feel without breaking the bank.
- Collect a basket full of pinecones and twigs, take them home, and dip them in white paint and silver glitter. Then place your frosty pine cones in a cute little dish, and your frosty sticks in a vas. The outdoors is your perfect place to find all sorts of free materials for your home.
- Gather some evergreen branches and make a centerpiece for your coffee table with candles. Greenery and candle are never out of style.
- Gather your old sweaters and off the sleeves to create a super easy decorative sleeve for a large candle. Use the rest of the sweater to recover a pillow or to update the look of an old basket.
My final tip is SHOP YOUR OWN HOUSE!
