Showhome’s Recipe For Flocking Your Christmas Tree

Hello Friends!

HOW I FLOCKED MY CHRISTMAS TREE! This is the best recipe ever!

I tried to buy flocking or snow spray from Michael’s but it was all sold out. And when I checked on Amazon it wasn’t gonna come until Christmas. So, I actually made my own recipe which I like much better than the spray flocking.

It is so easy to make what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups of white glue.

  • 2 cups of shaving cream.

  • 1 cup of cornstarch

  • Fake snow from the dollar store

(The last ingredient is the secret weapon to make it look real!)

How to:

Mix all three ingredients together, the corn starch, the glue, and the shaving cream. Keep your mixer on for five minutes. Once done, you take the mixture over to the Christmas tree and you lightly wipe each branch of the mixture. It’s messy!

I wanted it to look like it was snowing, so I put a lot of the glue mixture at the ends and then I lightly dusted them with the fake plastic snow that you can get from the dollar store.

The big plastic snow made the tree absolutely shine.

With the extra flocking I added lots of cornstarch to it and let the kids play with it. It made a very nice Plato and we made snowman and they had so much fun.

I hope you have so much fun this Christmas and enjoy decorating!
